As the webmaster or content creator, you need to the keywords on your page to match with what people are searching for.

This means, each of your pages should contain targeted keyword that is relevant to the search queries.

This way, the search engine can easily understand what is your page about and having your page shown if any users search for any related queries to your keyword.

Why Keyword is Important?

Keyword is the solution to fill a gap between what people are searching for and the content that you’re providing in your website page.

The keyword you target for each page will determine what kind of and how much traffic you will get organically from the SERP.

For example, if you own a household product store, you might want to target keywords such as “household products”, “home cleaning products”, or “best household goods”.

This way, your site will attract traffic that are searching for household goods, in which related to your site.

On the other hand, you don’t want your site to be shown to people that are searching for car, right?

If you’re not carefully target the correct keyword, your page will end up getting irrelevant traffic which won’t get you any value.
