Page Authority

Page Authority (PA) is another SEO scoring developed by Moz.

The concept is quite similar with domain authority, in which it basically measure the authority

However, instead of measuring the authority of overall site/domain, it measures a specific page’s authority.

For example, www.yoursite.com has DA of 80 – this means the overall average domain strength has 80 score.

Meanwhile, when you publish a new page with the page URL: www.yoursite.com/how-to-rank, your PA will show a different scoring that dedicated only for that page.

PA is always lower than DA since the DA consist the link value from all the pages on the site.

Page Authority Score

Same like domain authority, the page authority score range from 0 to 100. The higher the PA score, the more likely your specific page will rank better in SERP.

You can check your page authority here.

The higher your PA, the harder for you to increase it. For example, it is easier to increase PA from 0 to 20 than 20 to 40.

Why is Page Authority Important?

Page authority is normally used by SEO experts to analyze which pages has more powerful link profiles than other pages.

Normally, it is used for comparison metrics to see which pages are performing better than the other, and analyze which one to improve.

Since it is only used for comparison for internal purpose, there is no good or bad page authority.
